Frequently Asked Questions

What’s here for me?

My goal is to have something here for everyone, except maybe the professional chef. Nothing I do here will be groundbreaking, but I will be explaining cooking from the very basics to the moderately advanced.

Do you actually read the comments?

Every time. I do this for you and your feedback matter more than anything else.

Can you help me with…?

Yes! Though it might take me a bit to get to your question I will usually try to answer in a short-form quickly, but if it’s a big enough question or if people ask it enough I’ll probably add it to the list to become a full article.

I have a correction to…

I love being wrong. Being wrong is only an opportunity to learn something more. That said, there’s a chance that what I’ve said is a correction to a commonly held myth or more likely, a simplification for the purpose of the article and the audience it was intended for.

You forgot about…

Possibly, but probably not. Many topics are too large to fit into a single article. For instance, my Kitchen 100: Pans glosses over Cast Iron and Carbon Steel, but you’ll find those covered in greater detail elsewhere.
